Geoenvironmental Engineering

McMahon & Mann engineers have been retained in a number of projects involving remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum products, PCBs and volatile organic compounds. Some of the most visible of those projects include work at the West Valley nuclear waste site, along the Robert Moses Parkway at Occidental Chemical in Niagara Falls, and at St. Bonaventure University in Olean.

Among the many technical papers prepared by McMahon & Mann engineers are a number that deal with hazardous waste management and containment of contaminated groundwater. The firm's experience includes groundwater pump and treat systems, passive groundwater collection systems, soil removal and replacement, bioremediation and soil venting.
