Geotechnical Engineering
McMahon & Mann's geotechnical engineering projects range from subsurface explorations, including testing and development of geotechnical design recommendations, to preparation of final design drawings and specifications. The firm designs the subsurface exploration and testing program to obtain the information necessary to design the final project, as well as that necessary to design the temporary structures required during construction.
This comprehensive approach, which considers the constructability of the project as well as the final design, limits problems during conmstuction. The result is an efficient schedule and cost savings for the owner. The firm's geotechnical projects include foundation systems for buildings and bridges, earth slopes, embankments, including earth dams, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, and waterfront bulkhead and mooring structures.
