In the town of Concord, NY, Eighteen Mile Creek follows a meandering course and the Springville-Boston Rd. crosses the creek at several points. In two locations, the bank that separates the creek from the road was severely eroded. Working as a consultant for the Erie County Department of Public Works, McMahon & Mann designed retaining walls which stabilized the faltering bank. It’s a busy local connection, still referred to by many locals as “Old Route 219.”
