Noise Barrier Walls
Noise barrier walls are becoming increasingly necessary as traffic rates increase and residential development encroaches on busy highways. The design generally includes a drilled shaft foundation to support the wall's beams and panels. Our team of structural and geotechnical engineers is well suited to design these systems. Often, MMCE develops a design for the contractor, which is then approved after close scrutiny by the various state transportation departments. As described in the following project descriptions, MMCE has been successful in preparing noise barrier wall designs in New York and Pennsylvania.
