Bedrock Gravel Mine

A gravel mining area is located southeast of Route 16 and Great Valley Creek in the Town of Great Valley, New York.
Mining and processing operations continue on site daily and further expansion of the mining operation is desired.
Gernatt requested that MMCE prepare permitting documents for further expansion of their facility, broadening the footprint of the mine area and extending processing operations to the west side of Great Valley Creek.
MMCE made test borings, performed calculations pertaining to runoff, storm water storage capacities, culvert sizing and slope stability analyses. Site layout and grading plans were provided to maximize material yield and minimize material movement.
MMCE continues to aid Gernatt through the permit process, providing the above activities in conjunction with maintaining active relations with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Army Corps of Engineers.
