Buffalo Inner Harbor Project

Project Gallery
McMahon & Mann Consulting Engineers, P.C. (MMCE) evaluated subsurface conditions at this site along the Buffalo River for the project contractor and developed designs for this waterfront structure. MMCE worked with the contractor, Herbert F. Darling, Inc. and the project designer, URS Consultants, to develop construction shop drawings and alternative designs for portions of the retaining wall for the Inner Harbor Project.
One of the alternative designs was for bollard cell anchorages. These cells will provide anchorage for the naval vessels that are part of the Naval Museum at the Inner Harbor.
MMCE also provided designs and shop drawings for rock anchors. The rock anchors were drilled into the underlying Onondaga Limestone Rock Formation to provide lateral support for the wall in areas where the presence of existing structures prohibited the installation of the lateral support wall.
