McMahon & Mann Welcomes Riley J. Sessanna

McMahon & Mann would like to welcome Riley J. Sessanna to the team. Riley was hired as a project geologist. He graduated with a B.A. in Geological Sciences from SUNY Geneseo, and then went on to receive a M.S. in Earth Sciences from Syracuse University. His master's project at Syracuse University utilized Unoccupied Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), aka drones, to analyze submerged aquatic vegetation on an urban stream in Syracuse, NY.  To collect drone imagery as a research graduate, Riley became certified as an FAA UAV Pilot, which allows him to commercially fly drones.  The title of his thesis was "Capturing and analyzing multispectral UAV imagery to delineate submerged aquatic vegetation on a small urban stream."  In addition to his own research, Riley has used his pilot's license to collect imagery for a watershed-scale remediation project in Skaneateles, NY.
