McMahon & Mann prepared shoring design plans for the basement excavation for this five-story office building in Downtown Buffalo. The shoring system consisted of a cantilevered soldier pile and a lagging wall, 16 to 18 feet high.

McMahon & Mann worked closely with the contractor to develop a cantilever design. This created a clear excavation for foundation construction and obviated the need for easements from adjacent property owners that would have been required for an anchored wall.
