Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc. requested that McMahon & Mann perform a hydrogeologic study of a gravel mining area located north of Route 98 in the Town of Freedom, New York in support of an application to expand the mining footprint and prolong the life of the facility.
Gernatt requested that McMahon & Mann perform a hydrogeologic study of a gravel mining area located north of Route 98 in the Town of Freedom, New York in support of an application to expand the mining footprint and prolong the life of the facility.
We made test borings, installed monitoring wells and collected hydrologic and geologic information to assess the characteristics of the site and prepare a hydrogeologic report.
In addition, we assisted Gernatt through the permitting process with the New York State Department of Environmental Conversation. The expansion was approved and Gernatt continues to provide gravel products to the region.
