McMahon & Mann evaluated subsurface conditions at this site along the Buffalo River and developed designs for this waterfront structure. A new sheetpile retaining wall was constructed inside of an existing bulkhead to create additional harbor space for mooring naval vessels that are part of the Naval Museum at the Buffalo Inner Harbor.  We worked with the contractor, Herbert F. Darling, Inc. to develop construction drawings and alternative designs for the retaining wall. The design included bollard cell anchorages for the naval vessels. Sections of the new wall are retained by an anchor wall and sections are retained with rock anchors.
